Tools that can be used in online assessment.

 

Teachers use different tools and applications to asses students or to use them while teaching students. 

These tools are really important, beneficial, and effective because it will help the teacher to identify if the 

objectives are achieved or not. It will help the teacher know as well if students understood the lesson 

explained in the class or not.

In this section I will introduce you to the different tools that can be used in assessment:

1.  Quizlet 

Quizlet is one of the interesting applications that can be used to asses students understanding of the

content being discussed. Quizlet is an application that helps students to review the material through 

flash cards.

2.  Poll everywhere

Poll everywhere is one of the interesting tools that can be used to asses student's learning.  

Poll everywhere is used by millions of people around the world and it is considered one of the helpful 

tools.

3. Menti meter

Menti Meter is one of the interesting applications that we can refer to while teaching and assessing 

students. Menti meter can be used for both teaching and assessing students.

A teaching or learning experience.

As a teacher my teaching experience and especially since I teach  recently is really fruitful, beneficial, and interesting. One of the things that I encounter in my own classroom as an English teacher is that my students are very weak in vocabulary and the pronunciation. They need extra practice on it and as a teacher you need to be very patient with students especially who are weak . 

Teachers in the classroom encounter many problems concerning teaching and managing their 

classroom. As a teacher we need to work on using different techniques and approaches to use 

them in our own classroom. When it comes to students weakness teachers need to plan ahead 

of time how to deliver the lesson effectively in the classroom and how to deal with students 

weakness especially when it comes to pronunciation, grammar , skills and reading materials.

Reflection about Edu561

 

This course educ561 is one of the interesting courses I am attending recently. There are lots of beneficial skills I am learning in this course which are related to google docs, google forms, and google sites. It is interesting how I learned to form a test and how to do an interesting lesson google sites. I learned how to use different sources, applications, and ways to design a test or do a certain activity for students. 

What makes me love, interested, and engaged in this course is related to the interesting activities, assignments, and applications that can be used to implement a proper and effective lesson to students.  What is interesting about this course as well is the collaborative work that allows students to communicate effectively with each other.
